For Ialomița Employers
Ialomița is the smallest driver market in this group and the one with the least industry, so an honest page about it is short. What it does have is position: two Danube crossings on its territory carry the main road corridors from the capital towards the coast, both of them recently freed of their separate tolls. Vegetable oil processing is the largest employer. Employers here publish a genuine vacancy and hire directly.
One genuine vacancy • Applications come straight to you • Permit guidance under a separate agreement
Ialomița is a thin freight county by every measure: one substantial employer in vegetable oil processing, no industrial park on record, no resident haulier of scale, and one of the smallest driver advert volumes in Romania.
Publish the vacancy at www.fastdriver.eu/jobs/romania. Name categoria C+E, categoria C or categoria B, state whether the atestat profesional and a valid card tahograf are required on day one, and say whether the work is intern or extern, since a small market rewards a precise advert.
FastDriver.eu holds neither of the two roles employers tend to assume: it is no recruitment agency, and no agent de munca temporara. It does not employ drivers, hold them on books or supply them to an Ialomița business. You write the vacancy, the applications reach you, and the hiring decision and the contract are yours alone.
The one operational fact an employer can genuinely act on here concerns charging rather than industry: the two Danube crossings on this county's territory have both lost their separate tolls, while heavy vehicles have moved onto a distance based national system instead. The Romania employer page deals with the national side of hiring.
Ialomița employers recruit tipper and bulk drivers on grain and oilseed traffic, tanker drivers on processed oil movement, domestic categoria C+E drivers on the coast corridors, international TIR drivers, and categoria B distribution drivers around Slobozia.
Farm to processor and farm to port bulk movement on tipper or walking floor trailers, concentrated into harvest peaks rather than spread evenly through the year. Categoria C+E with the atestat profesional, intern. Be explicit about the season, the weighbridge routine and field access conditions.
Vegetable oil processing is the county's largest employer, and refined oil moves either in tank or in packaged form. Categoria C+E, mostly intern, and tank work carries its own ADR endorsement separate from the packaged one. Say which form the load takes and whether loading is driver operated.
Both main road routes from the capital to the Black Sea cross this county at a Danube crossing, so domestic trunking through Ialomița is real work even where the origin and destination are elsewhere. Categoria C+E, intern. State the typical round and whether night running is involved.
International running is advertised from this county, as it is from every Romanian county, and in a low wage area it competes strongly on money. Categoria C+E, extern, solo or crewed. State the rotation and the trailer type, and quote basic pay and the diurnă as separate figures.
Categoria B rounds based on Slobozia, supplying shops and depots across a dispersed rural county, which means longer legs between drops than an urban round. Intern, home nightly. Name the vehicle, the typical drop count and whether the role is employment or a collaboration arrangement.
In a market this small an exaggerated advert is quickly found out. Say what the work really is, including the seasonality, because local candidates will know the employers in this county by name.
Ialomița is flat, agricultural and crossed by two major eastward corridors rather than organised around a single industrial centre. Slobozia is the county seat and the base for most local work; the rest of the county is farmland and villages.
Fetești in the east of the county sits at the motorway crossing of the Danube on the main route from the capital to the coast, which is the busiest road to pass through this county by a wide margin.
Giurgeni, also in this county, carries the second Danube crossing on a national road running towards the coast, so Ialomița holds both of the eastward river crossings on these corridors rather than one.
Between the two, the county is given over to arable farming, which means the labour pool is spread thinly across communes and a depot here draws candidates from villages over a wide radius.
The capital pulls commuters from up to a hundred kilometres, which reaches the western part of this county, so a Slobozia vacancy competes with București employment as well as with the few local alternatives.
Driver work differs sharply between the capital ring, the Black Sea port, the western gateway counties and the eastern border. Open another county to see the hiring information that applies there.
Romanian drivers search in Romanian. An advert written only in English will miss most of the domestic market.
Sofer profesionist is the dominant advert title. Sofer TIR signals international work and is read that way immediately. Sofer camion and sofer de distributie name the vehicle and the job. Conducator auto is the formal register that appears in documents and regulations rather than in adverts.
Intern or extern is the first thing a Romanian driver looks for, because it decides whether they are home each night or away for weeks. Put it in the headline. An advert that leaves it out collects applications from people who withdraw once they find out.
Pe comunitate is the phrase that signals the well paid international segment. It is worth using where it is true, and worth avoiding where it is not, because drivers treat it as a promise about earnings.
Write the licence as C+E. That form appears far more often in real adverts than CE, by a wide margin, and writing it the other way marks an advert as drafted by someone outside the trade.
The qualification is the atestat profesional, for marfa or for persoane. Adverts list it alongside the card tahograf and ADR where the load requires it. Name only what the role genuinely needs.
Pay needs two numbers, not one. Salary and diurna are quoted separately in Romanian adverts, and for international work the daily allowance is a very large part of what a driver actually takes home. An advert that gives only the salary reads as badly paid even when it is not.
Romanian drivers read an advert for the route, the vehicle, the time away and the two pay figures. An advert that answers those four things gets better applications than one that lists benefits.
FastDriver.eu operates as a European driver job portal and allows candidates elsewhere in Europe and in eligible international markets to find and apply for suitable Romanian vacancies.
Start by ignoring most of what is published about this, because the system changed. The separate work permit that employers used to apply for has been abolished and replaced by a single application filed on a state platform. The old route was switched off months before the new platform opened, so guidance written before the change is not just dated, it describes a procedure that no longer exists.
Drivers sit on the shortage occupations list, which is the gate for the main employment route. For a haulier that is genuinely good news and it is the part of the system working in your favour.
The real barrier is not the paperwork. Filing directly requires a trading history, an average headcount above a published threshold and a financial guarantee for each worker. Most Romanian hauliers sit below that headcount, which means they cannot file at all and must go through a licensed placement agency instead. Check which side of that line your company falls on before you plan anything else, because it changes the whole approach.
The annual quota is a single national figure rather than a transport allocation, and it was cut rather than raised. A large share of it is consumed well before the year ends, so an application late in the cycle competes for what is left.
Employers in Ialomița may receive applications from drivers based in Romania, elsewhere in the EU and EEA, Switzerland, the wider European region, Asia, Africa, Gulf countries, North America, Latin America and other eligible international markets.
EU, EEA and Swiss citizens may work in Romania without an authorisation. A Moldovan national holding Romanian citizenship is an EU citizen and needs nothing, while one without it faces full external border checks, because the Romanian border with Moldova is now a Schengen external frontier. The difference is large and it is worth establishing early in a conversation rather than late.
The employment contract has to reach the national register before the driver starts work, not afterwards. The register changed name and platform recently, and the penalties for undeclared work are severe with a high ceiling, so this is not a formality to leave until the first week.
A candidate's ability to work here depends on nationality, residence status, professional qualifications, driving licence validity and the requirements of the individual position. Nationality alone never settles it. Drivers can check their own position through our driving licence eligibility guidance.
FastDriver.eu can provide process guidance and document coordination when a candidate needs support. It does not make government decisions and cannot promise an approval.
Name the licence category in the advert. A Romanian driver reads it first, and C+E in the headline tells them immediately whether the job is theirs.
Freight work uses C and C+E, with C1 and C1E for lighter rigid vehicles. Passenger transport uses D and D1.
Age limits matter when you are planning a pipeline. C1 and C1E open at eighteen, C and C+E at twenty one and reduce to eighteen for a driver holding the professional qualification. D and DE open at twenty four and reduce to twenty one on the same basis. Heavy categories run five years.
Romania asks for something most member states do not. A professional driver needs an annual medical check and an annual psychological check, and the psychological opinion is also part of the file for exchanging a foreign licence. Employers arriving from elsewhere in the EU are regularly caught out by it.
The atestat profesional is issued by the national road authority, separately for goods and for passengers, and renewed every five years. A shorter conversion route exists for a driver moving between the two, so an experienced goods driver is not starting again to work on passenger transport.
Foreign licences need checking before you make an offer. EU and EEA licences exchange without a test. Beyond that it depends on whether the issuing country appears on the convention or reciprocity lists, and where it does not the driver sits the Romanian theory and practical examination, which they may now do without compulsory driving school.
Several of the countries Romanian hauliers recruit from most heavily could not be found on those exchange lists. That is not a conclusion that they are absent, but it does mean the question has to be settled for the specific country before a contract is signed, not assumed.
A professional qualification obtained outside the EU or EEA is not recognised here. An experienced driver arriving from outside Europe takes the Romanian qualification whatever they held before.
This is where the real timeline lives, and it is longer than most employers expect. The driver attestation that a Romanian operator needs in order to put a third country national on international work requires a Romanian licence and the professional qualification. A newly arrived driver has neither. The tachograph card also requires the work authorisation first. So the sequence is admission, then licence, then qualification, then attestation, and an employer who budgets only for the visa will be short by months.
One thing works in your favour. The professional examinations have been made available in English, which was done specifically to serve drivers recruited from South and South East Asia, so the qualification stage no longer requires Romanian first.
Unlike several other member states, the forklift authorisation in Romania is a genuine state authorisation issued to the individual rather than a permission the employer grants. ADR is required where the load needs it. Verifying the original documents remains the employer's responsibility.
Ialomița's two solid operational facts are both road charges, and both have just been removed. The Danube crossing between Fetești and Cernavodă on the motorway to the coast no longer carries its own toll, and neither does the crossing between Giurgeni and Vadu Oii on the national road running the same way. Both crossing points are on this county's territory, which is what puts Ialomița on two eastward routes to the sea rather than on one. The caution for a haulier is that this is not a straightforward saving. Heavy vehicles have been moved onto a distance based national charging system, separate from the crossings themselves, and no rate schedule for heavy classes was published alongside the announcement, so confirm what the new regime costs for your own vehicle classes before repricing a route on the strength of an abolished toll. The ordinary national road usage charge still applies outside localities and is an operator obligation bought per vehicle for a period, not a driver one, which matters because it is the driver who meets the penalty at the roadside when it has not been bought.

Employers in Ialomița can use FastDriver.eu to find drivers, advertise genuine vacancies and receive applications through a specialised European driver job portal.
The employer starts by submitting company details, work location, driver category, required licence, number of vacancies, experience level, working schedule, pay information and proposed start date.
The vacancy can then be prepared and promoted to relevant drivers through the platform, alongside the current driver vacancies already open.
Candidates apply for suitable positions. The employer reviews their information, conducts interviews and makes the final hiring decision.
FastDriver.eu does not become the employer. It does not replace the company's legal responsibility for candidate verification, employment contracts, remuneration or working conditions.
Employers that can consider international drivers should clearly state whether work authorisation guidance, visa process support, accommodation or relocation assistance is available.
This information must reflect the employer's actual offer. It must not be added only for search visibility.
Tell us how many drivers you need, the base or town they work from, the licence category, experience, routes, language requirements and proposed employment conditions.
Our team reviews your company details and checks that the vacancy contains what a Romanian driver needs in order to apply with confidence, including the category, whether the work is intern or extern, the atestat position, and salary and diurna stated separately.
The vacancy is prepared, published and promoted according to the selected employer option.
Drivers apply through the platform. The employer reviews applications, communicates with suitable candidates and arranges interviews.
The employer makes the final hiring decision, verifies the candidate and signs the employment contract directly with the selected driver.
When separately agreed, FastDriver.eu may provide immigration process guidance, document coordination and relocation preparation for eligible international candidates.
Complete and accurate information helps drivers understand the opportunity and allows the platform team to publish the vacancy correctly.
Do not request unrelated information.
FastDriver.eu provides the digital platform and any separately agreed support services.
The employer is responsible for confirming the vacancy, independently verifying each selected candidate, checking licence categories and the atestat position, and meeting all Romanian employment obligations.
FastDriver.eu does not issue government approvals.
FastDriver.eu cannot guarantee applications, candidate availability, candidate suitability, interview attendance, hiring, work authorisation approval, visa approval, licence recognition, processing time or continued employment.
All vacancies must be genuine, current, lawful and accurate.
Employers must not request unlawful recruitment or application payments from candidates.
Its only function is publishing driver vacancies. You write the advert, and once it is live, drivers in Ialomița will find it. Applications reach you directly, with no ,ngshortlisting, filtersshortlisting, filters, or placement fee at any stage. Where permission to work is required, we provide guidance on the process and coordinate documents, agreed separately, and we never guarantee approval.
It supplies nobody. FastDriver.eu is neither a recruitment agency nor an agent de munca temporara, and in Romania that distinction matters because licensed placement agencies hold a regulated role in third country hiring. The portal never employs a driver, never hires one out and never becomes a party to the employment contract. You interview, you select, you employ.
Both have lost their separate charges. The motorway crossing between Fetești and Cernavodă and the national road crossing between Giurgeni and Vadu Oii no longer levy their own tolls, and both crossing points lie on this county’s territory. Heavy vehicles have moved to a distance-based national charging system, replacing the old arrangement, and the announcement did not publish a rate schedule for lorry classes.
Neither is on record, and saying so plainly is more useful than padding the page. No industrial park was confirmed in this county, and no road freight or logistics business appears among its largest employers. In practice, driver work here centres on processors, farms, distributors, and small operators, which affects the fleet a candidate will drive and the terms they will expect.
Expur, a vegetable oil processor with a workforce in the hundreds rather than the thousands, is the smallest leading employer in this group. For a haulier, the useful part is the commodity rather than the headcount: oilseed inbound from farms and refined oil outbound, in tank or packaged, giving the county two distinct kinds of loads.
It runs clearly above the national rate. County figures published through the year put registered unemployment here in the region of five and a half per cent, against a national rate of a little over three. That is a looser market than the counties nearer the capital, though a loose market is not the same as a supply of category C and C+E holders, which is the real constraint.
They sit roughly a fifth below the national average, among the lowest in the country. For an internationalrecruit,,r that is favourable:a well-built external package comfortablye outcompetes localemploymenty on money. The contest is therefore over willingness to be away from home rather than over the figure, and the advert should address that directly rather than leading on pay alone.
Journey times that are longer than the distances imply. Motorways make up a small fraction of the national road network, and roughly a quarter oof Romania’spublic roads are gravel or earth, so domestic running involves mmore single-carriagewayand more town centres at lower average speeds. In a dispersed rural country,y that effect is pronounced, and delivery windows set on distance alone will not hold.
In two parts. The daily allowance for days worked abroad is a very large share of Romanian international drivers’ take-home. So, a single monthly salary line can make a competitive offer look like domestic work at domestic rates. Set out the basic salary, then the allowance for each calendar day abroad, and make clear which currency applies to which. Figures themselves are not published on this page.
Authorisation now runs through one combined application lodged on a new state platform, which replaced the abolished aviz. The changeover left a gap: the old route closed months before the new platform opened, so for a stretch there was no way to bring a new worker in. Guidance that still refers to an aviz is describing a repealed system.
Almost certainly not. Filing directly requires a trading history, an average headcount above a published threshold and a financial guarantee for each foreign worker, and most Romanian road freight operators sit below that headcount. The route in is then a licensed placement agency. In a county with no resident haulier of scale, that is the position essentially every local employer occupies.
They are, and it is the best single piece of news on this page for a haulier. The list that gates the main employment route for third-country nationals includes goods driver, passenger driver, and car transporter occupations alike. The list is set by ministerial order and described as periodic, so confirm current eligibility rather than assuming it is permanent.
It is a single national figure across every sector, not an allocation to transport, and it was cut rather than raised. A large share was used well before the year was out, so timing matters as much as eligibility. Transport’s advantage is its place on the shortage list, not a reserved block of places, so late applications are the riskiest.
Three further documents. The attestation an operator holds for a named driver on international carriage requires a Romanian driving licence and the professional qualification, and the tachograph card cannot be issued at all until the work authorisation exists. The real order is admission, then licence by exchange or examination, then the qualification, then the attestation, which takes months rather than weeks.
They do not, and that is a genuine trap for a driver used to a fixed date. The Romanian obligation is condition-based: winter tyres are required when the road is covered with snow, ice, or sleet, whatever the month, and the tyres must carry the appropriate marking. The check happens at the roadside, so there is no date on which a fleet can safely consider itself compliant.
Before the driver starts rather than after, the employment contract must be transmitted to the national register of employees the day before activity begins, and that register changed name and platform recently, so older checklists name a system that has been retired. Undeclared work attracts a substantial fine for each person found, subject to a high overall cap on any single employer.
Harvest bulk work, processed oil in tank or packaged, corridor trunking towards the coast or international running: name the categoria, the atestat and the season honestly, and let Ialomița drivers come to you.
Ialomița employers recruit, select and employ their drivers themselves; the portal publishes the vacancy and nothing more.
