For Buzău Employers
Buzău has become a motorway county within the space of a couple of years, with the A7 Moldova motorway now open through it in both directions and a junction onto the national road at Buzău Est. It is also a rail hub on the same European corridor, which is a rare combination for a county this size. The freight is cereals, oils and fats, meat, glass and mechanical components. An employer here writes the vacancy, names the category and the atestat it needs, and takes the applications direct.
You set the terms • Drivers apply to you, not to us • Permission to work guidance under a separate agreement
Buzău is a manufacturing and agri-food county with a largely rural population and an industrial base concentrated in two towns. Oils and fats processing, meat, glass, railway and automotive components and wine all generate road freight, in both directions.
Publish the vacancy at www.fastdriver.eu/jobs/romania, stating categoria C+E or categoria C, saying whether a valid atestat profesional marfă and a current card tahograf are required on day one, and marking the work intern or extern so a driver knows the shape of the month.
What FastDriver.eu does is publish. It is not a recruitment agency, and it is not an agent de munca temporara either, so it does not employ drivers, does not place them with a Buzău company and earns nothing from a hire. You write the advert, you choose, and the contract is yours.
Worth knowing locally: the county reports a shortage of specialised staff caused by migration towards larger cities and abroad, which is exactly the pressure that empties a C+E pool fastest. More background is on the Romania employer page.
Employers in Buzău recruit cereal and bulk drivers, tanker and food industry drivers, motorway trunk drivers running to Ploiești and Bacău, international drivers on comunitate work, and a distribution layer around the two towns.
Cereals appear by name in this county's driver adverts, which is not true everywhere in the region. Categoria C+E on tippers and walking floors, mostly intern, with the plain and the processing plants as loading points. Say whether tipping or walking floor hours are expected, because they are not interchangeable.
Oils and fats, meat and bottled products move in volume from this county. Categoria C+E on tankers, box trailers and refrigerated trailers, both intern and extern, with hygiene discipline and loading dock procedure forming a real part of the job. Name the product group rather than writing general cargo.
International work from Buzău runs to Greece, Italy and Germany on categoria C+E, with both solo and crewed offers around. Use the word comunitate, state the rotation in weeks, and set out the diurnă separately from the salary, because that is the comparison a candidate makes first.
Continuous motorway through the county has made overnight trunking out of Buzău viable in a way it was not before. Categoria C+E on curtainsiders and box trailers, intern, running south west towards Ploiești and north towards Bacău. Punctuality against a slot is what the role buys.
Distribution and courier work serves Buzău and Râmnicu Sărat on categoria B and categoria C, strictly intern and home nightly. Adverts that name the vehicle, the start time and the number of drops fill faster than ones describing a territory, because the candidate is comparing a working day.
Six different employers advertise driver work in this county, a mix of Romanian hauliers and foreign recruiters, so a candidate here compares offers rather than taking the first one. State the cargo and the trailer type, because cereals, tanker and refrigerated work attract quite different drivers.
Buzău sits where the Carpathian bend meets the plain, with the county seat on the motorway and the rail corridor, Râmnicu Sărat to the north east, and a long upland tail reaching west into the hills where the vineyards and the salt and oil extraction are.
The county seat carries the industry, the junction and most of the driver adverts. Râmnicu Sărat is the second municipality and sits on the same motorway corridor, close enough to share a labour catchment with the seat for a driver willing to commute.
Almost two thirds of the county's people live rurally, so a depot in either town is recruiting out of surrounding communes. Say whether there is parking at the depot and whether transport to site exists, because that decides who can realistically apply.
The upland west, around Pietroasele and the wine communes, is reached on ordinary roads rather than motorway, and journey times there do not match map distances. Treat it as collection territory rather than as a distribution round.
The county road network is among the largest in Romania by length, which sounds like an advantage and mostly is not: length here means many kilometres of ordinary road feeding the two towns, not a dense network of fast routes.
Driver work differs sharply between the capital ring, the Black Sea port, the western gateway counties and the eastern border. Open another county to see the hiring information that applies there.
Romanian drivers search in Romanian. An advert written only in English will miss most of the domestic market.
Sofer profesionist is the dominant advert title. Sofer TIR signals international work and is read that way immediately. Sofer camion and sofer de distributie name the vehicle and the job. Conducator auto is the formal register that appears in documents and regulations rather than in adverts.
Intern or extern is the first thing a Romanian driver looks for, because it decides whether they are home each night or away for weeks. Put it in the headline. An advert that leaves it out collects applications from people who withdraw once they find out.
Pe comunitate is the phrase that signals the well paid international segment. It is worth using where it is true, and worth avoiding where it is not, because drivers treat it as a promise about earnings.
Write the licence as C+E. That form appears far more often in real adverts than CE, by a wide margin, and writing it the other way marks an advert as drafted by someone outside the trade.
The qualification is the atestat profesional, for marfa or for persoane. Adverts list it alongside the card tahograf and ADR where the load requires it. Name only what the role genuinely needs.
Pay needs two numbers, not one. Salary and diurna are quoted separately in Romanian adverts, and for international work the daily allowance is a very large part of what a driver actually takes home. An advert that gives only the salary reads as badly paid even when it is not.
Romanian drivers read an advert for the route, the vehicle, the time away and the two pay figures. An advert that answers those four things gets better applications than one that lists benefits.
FastDriver.eu operates as a European driver job portal and allows candidates elsewhere in Europe and in eligible international markets to find and apply for suitable Romanian vacancies.
Start by ignoring most of what is published about this, because the system changed. The separate work permit that employers used to apply for has been abolished and replaced by a single application filed on a state platform. The old route was switched off months before the new platform opened, so guidance written before the change is not just dated, it describes a procedure that no longer exists.
Drivers sit on the shortage occupations list, which is the gate for the main employment route. For a haulier that is genuinely good news and it is the part of the system working in your favour.
The real barrier is not the paperwork. Filing directly requires a trading history, an average headcount above a published threshold and a financial guarantee for each worker. Most Romanian hauliers sit below that headcount, which means they cannot file at all and must go through a licensed placement agency instead. Check which side of that line your company falls on before you plan anything else, because it changes the whole approach.
The annual quota is a single national figure rather than a transport allocation, and it was cut rather than raised. A large share of it is consumed well before the year ends, so an application late in the cycle competes for what is left.
Employers in Buzău may receive applications from drivers based in Romania, elsewhere in the EU and EEA, Switzerland, the wider European region, Asia, Africa, Gulf countries, North America, Latin America and other eligible international markets.
EU, EEA and Swiss citizens may work in Romania without an authorisation. A Moldovan national holding Romanian citizenship is an EU citizen and needs nothing, while one without it faces full external border checks, because the Romanian border with Moldova is now a Schengen external frontier. The difference is large and it is worth establishing early in a conversation rather than late.
The employment contract has to reach the national register before the driver starts work, not afterwards. The register changed name and platform recently, and the penalties for undeclared work are severe with a high ceiling, so this is not a formality to leave until the first week.
A candidate's ability to work here depends on nationality, residence status, professional qualifications, driving licence validity and the requirements of the individual position. Nationality alone never settles it. Drivers can check their own position through our driving licence eligibility guidance.
FastDriver.eu can provide process guidance and document coordination when a candidate needs support. It does not make government decisions and cannot promise an approval.
Name the licence category in the advert. A Romanian driver reads it first, and C+E in the headline tells them immediately whether the job is theirs.
Freight work uses C and C+E, with C1 and C1E for lighter rigid vehicles. Passenger transport uses D and D1.
Age limits matter when you are planning a pipeline. C1 and C1E open at eighteen, C and C+E at twenty one and reduce to eighteen for a driver holding the professional qualification. D and DE open at twenty four and reduce to twenty one on the same basis. Heavy categories run five years.
Romania asks for something most member states do not. A professional driver needs an annual medical check and an annual psychological check, and the psychological opinion is also part of the file for exchanging a foreign licence. Employers arriving from elsewhere in the EU are regularly caught out by it.
The atestat profesional is issued by the national road authority, separately for goods and for passengers, and renewed every five years. A shorter conversion route exists for a driver moving between the two, so an experienced goods driver is not starting again to work on passenger transport.
Foreign licences need checking before you make an offer. EU and EEA licences exchange without a test. Beyond that it depends on whether the issuing country appears on the convention or reciprocity lists, and where it does not the driver sits the Romanian theory and practical examination, which they may now do without compulsory driving school.
Several of the countries Romanian hauliers recruit from most heavily could not be found on those exchange lists. That is not a conclusion that they are absent, but it does mean the question has to be settled for the specific country before a contract is signed, not assumed.
A professional qualification obtained outside the EU or EEA is not recognised here. An experienced driver arriving from outside Europe takes the Romanian qualification whatever they held before.
This is where the real timeline lives, and it is longer than most employers expect. The driver attestation that a Romanian operator needs in order to put a third country national on international work requires a Romanian licence and the professional qualification. A newly arrived driver has neither. The tachograph card also requires the work authorisation first. So the sequence is admission, then licence, then qualification, then attestation, and an employer who budgets only for the visa will be short by months.
One thing works in your favour. The professional examinations have been made available in English, which was done specifically to serve drivers recruited from South and South East Asia, so the qualification stage no longer requires Romanian first.
Unlike several other member states, the forklift authorisation in Romania is a genuine state authorisation issued to the individual rather than a permission the employer grants. ADR is required where the load needs it. Verifying the original documents remains the employer's responsibility.

Employers in Buzău can use FastDriver.eu to find drivers, advertise genuine vacancies and receive applications through a specialised European driver job portal.
The employer starts by submitting company details, work location, driver category, required licence, number of vacancies, experience level, working schedule, pay information and proposed start date.
The vacancy can then be prepared and promoted to relevant drivers through the platform, alongside the current driver vacancies already open.
Candidates apply for suitable positions. The employer reviews their information, conducts interviews and makes the final hiring decision.
FastDriver.eu does not become the employer. It does not replace the company's legal responsibility for candidate verification, employment contracts, remuneration or working conditions.
Employers that can consider international drivers should clearly state whether work authorisation guidance, visa process support, accommodation or relocation assistance is available.
This information must reflect the employer's actual offer. It must not be added only for search visibility.
Tell us how many drivers you need, the base or town they work from, the licence category, experience, routes, language requirements and proposed employment conditions.
Our team reviews your company details and checks that the vacancy contains what a Romanian driver needs in order to apply with confidence, including the category, whether the work is intern or extern, the atestat position, and salary and diurna stated separately.
The vacancy is prepared, published and promoted according to the selected employer option.
Drivers apply through the platform. The employer reviews applications, communicates with suitable candidates and arranges interviews.
The employer makes the final hiring decision, verifies the candidate and signs the employment contract directly with the selected driver.

The arithmetic of a working day. The Moldova motorway is now open through the county in both directions, lot by lot, giving a continuous run southwest toloiești and the approaches to the capital, nd north totoocșani and Bacău, with a junction onto the national road at Buzău Est. A county that was a corridor town on an ordinary road is now a credible overnight distribution base.
It is, and having both is unusual for a county of this size. Buzău is a key rail hub on the same European corridor its motorway follows, with a few hundred kilometres of operational track in the county. For an employer, it matters mainly because terminal and trunk work exists locally, and because the town attracts logistics investment.
Looser than most of Romania, and the only county in the region with its own confirmed unemployment figure. It has been measured at around five and a half per cent, compared with a national rate of under three per cent on the same count, roughly double. Gross pay also sits below the regional average, making this a labour-available county by Romanian standards.
Directly, and the county says so itself. Local reporting on the industrial parks names the lack of specialised personnel, caused by workforce migration towards larger cities and abroad, as the main obstacle to growth. That applies to technical staff, but C+E category holders have the strongest outside options of anyone on that list, so expect the same pressure on drivers.
Parcul Industrial Buzău Sud is the only industrial park in this region that can be named, and logistics platforms are also near the municipality. No tenant list or employment figure could be verified for it, so treat it as a location worth naming in an advert rather than as a known cluster of specific companies.
Oils and fats from the county’s largest company by turnover, processed meat, glass, railway and automotive components, metal parts, textiles and wood products, plus cereals, wine and fruit from the land. Exports lean towards metals, food products and oils and fats. That mix means tanker, tipper, refrigerated and curtainsider work all exist within a short radius.
More employers than anywhere else in this region, which is worth knowing before you set terms. The local board listed six, including two major Romanian haulage operators and foreign recruiters offering euro packages. The adverts named cargo types including reelss, general freight, andd refrigerated work, and routes to Greece, Italy, andnd Germany.
The restricted sections lie outside this county, on the national road running from the capital’s northern boundary through Ploiești and on towards Brașov. A Buzău operator’s main legs now run on the motorway southwest and north instead, so no standing weekday or weekend tonnage window governs them. Anything routed through to Brașov should still be checked against the restriction before it is quoted.
A place to publish a driver vacancy and have applications come back to you. The advert is yours, the wording is yours, and we do not screen, rank or introduce candidates. No fee attaches to a hire. If you want to employ someone who needs permission to work in Romania, we can arrange process guidance and document coordination under a separate agreement.
Placement is nottnott of what it does. It is not an agent de munca temporara or a recruitment agency, which matters in Romania because licensed placement agencies are a regulated route for third-country hiring, and employers read the claim carefully. FastDriver.eu never becomes the employer and never supplies a driver to a Buzău company.
As a separate line from the salary, described as a daily allowance for days spent outside Romania, Romanian international drivers treat that allowance as the main number in the offer because it makes up a large share of what they receive, so a vacancy quoting only a monthly salary looks like domestic pay. Give the structure even where no figure is published.
ȘUse ofer profesionist ,the term drivers search for , asthe amain title with the category wlistedas categoria C+E, since that form is far cmore commonin Romanian adverts than CE. Use șofer TIR where the work is international, and reserve conducător auto for documents and contracts, because to a driver it reads like a form rather than a job.
A single application filed on a state platform, replacing the abolished aviz de angajare. Because the old route was switched off well before the new one opened, there was a period with no working way in at all, and most published guidance still describes the repealed system. Treat anything you read elsewhere about an aviz as out of date and verify current timings.
Lorry and bus driving occupations are both on the shortage list, which is the gate for the main employment route and a real advantage over an unlisted occupation. It does not create reserved places. The annual quota is a single national number; it was cut rather than raised, and much of it goes early in the year, so plan an intake around that rather than around eligibility alone.
Only above the employer threshold, which is the real obstacle, not the forms. Direct filing requires a minimum trading history, an average headcount above a published figure and a financial guarantee for every worker. Most Romanian hauliers fall short on headcount and must use a licensed placement agency, so establish your position before promising a start date.
The atestat profesional, issued by the national road authority for goods or passengers and renewed every five years, includes a short conversion route for drivers moving between the two. Examinations are available in English, specifically for drivers recruited from South and Southeast Asia. A qualification obtained outside the EU or EEA is not recognised.
Cereals, food industry loads, motorway trunking or comunitate work: name the category, the atestat, the cargo and whether the run is intern or extern, and let drivers around Buzău and Râmnicu Sărat come to you.
Employers in Buzău select and employ their own drivers; FastDriver.eu publishes the advert and nothing more.
