For Romanian Employers
Publish your driver vacancies on FastDriver.eu, reach candidates across the Romanian counties, elsewhere in Europe and in eligible international markets, and manage applications yourself. Where a candidate needs an employment approval, the annual quota governs the timing, so plan early.
Direct employer hiring • European and international reach • Employment approval and relocation guidance when required
FastDriver.eu connects Romanian international hauliers, forwarding companies, distribution operators, bus companies and courier businesses with drivers looking for work.
Publish a genuine vacancy, state the licence category, describe the routes and the rotation, and receive applications directly. Romanian operators compete for drivers with employers elsewhere in the Union, so a clear rotation and pay structure does a great deal of work in an advert. Browse current Romanian listings at www.fastdriver.eu/jobs/romania.
FastDriver.eu is a specialised driver job portal. It is not a recruitment agency or a temporary employment agency, it does not employ drivers and it does not lease workers.
Your company reviews the applications, interviews the candidates, inspects the original licence and professional attestation documents, and signs the employment contract under the Labour Code. The hiring decision stays with you.
Romanian employers recruit across international haulage, domestic distribution, port work and passenger transport. State the licence category and the rotation, since for long distance roles that is what candidates compare.
Post vacancies for sofer TIR and sofer international roles running west into Hungary, Austria, Germany and Italy. State the weeks out and the weeks at home.
Advertise sofer camion and sofer categoria C or CE positions in national distribution, port drayage, construction supply and agricultural transport.
Publish roles for sofer autobuz on city networks, county lines, works shuttles for manufacturing plants and long distance coach services.
Advertise curier and sofer de distributie positions in parcel networks, food distribution and the e-commerce operations concentrated around the larger cities.
Reach sofer ADR, cisterna and heavy transport drivers for fuel distribution, the refining sector and oversized cargo work.
Use a job title only where it genuinely matches the role. Unrelated titles added for traffic produce applications you will only reject.
Romania is divided into forty one counties plus the capital. It is the largest country in south eastern Europe, and freight moves along a few dominant corridors rather than evenly.
The routes through Arad and Nadlac towards Hungary carry the bulk of international road freight and underpin the country's long distance haulage sector.
Constanta is the largest port on the Black Sea, generating container, grain and bulk haulage reaching across the country and beyond.
Automotive assembly and component supply across the west and south generate scheduled transport running to fixed delivery windows.
Grain and produce move in large volumes from the southern and eastern plains to the port and to processing plants, with strong seasonal peaks.
Each county has a distinct transport profile. Naming it, and the depot town, helps candidates judge both the commute and the route type.
Romanian drivers search in Romanian, and the vocabulary distinguishes clearly between international and domestic work.
Sofer is the everyday term, with sofer profesionist used more formally and conducator auto in regulatory contexts. Candidates attach the category as categoria C or C+E.
Long distance work is still widely searched as sofer TIR, a term that carries real weight with experienced drivers, alongside sofer international.
Passenger roles use sofer autobuz, while delivery and courier work appears as curier and sofer de distributie.
Candidates routinely list their atestat profesional, the professional attestation corresponding to code 95, along with the tachograph card and ADR where held.
Publish in Romanian for the domestic market and add an English version where you are open to candidates from abroad. Naming the rotation in the title improves the quality of applications more than any keyword will.
FastDriver.eu operates as a European driver job portal and allows candidates in other parts of the world to discover and apply for suitable Romanian vacancies.
Romanian employers may receive applications from drivers based in Romania, other EU and EEA countries, Switzerland, the wider European region, Asia, Africa, Gulf countries, North America, Latin America, the Caribbean and other eligible international markets.
EU and EEA citizens and Swiss nationals may work in Romania without an employment approval. Licence and professional attestation requirements still apply.
For third country nationals the employer applies first, to the General Inspectorate for Immigration, for an employment approval as a permanent worker. Only once that is issued can the candidate apply for the long stay visa for employment, and after entry the right of residence is extended into a single permit.
One constraint dominates planning. A government decision sets an annual quota of newly admitted foreign workers, and the approval cannot be issued once that quota is exhausted. The approval also has a limited validity within which the visa must be applied for, so a delayed interview process can waste it. Drivers can check their own position through our driving licence eligibility guidance.
FastDriver.eu can provide process guidance and document coordination when a candidate needs support. It does not make government decisions and cannot promise an approval.
State the licence category in the advert. Romanian candidates filter on it first.
Freight roles use C and C+E, with C1 and C1E for lighter rigid vehicles. Passenger transport uses D and D1, with DE and D1E where a trailer is drawn. Delivery work sits in category B.
Professional drivers in the C and D categories need the professional attestation, which corresponds to code 95 and is obtained through initial qualification and maintained by periodic training every five years.
A digital tachograph driver card is required for in scope work and ADR training for dangerous goods. For routes crossing into Serbia, Moldova or Ukraine, check what the journey itself requires in addition.
Where a third country national drives for a Romanian operator on international journeys within the Union, a driver attestation may also be needed.
Experience requirements are set by operators. Long distance work looks for route and hours management and confidence at border crossings, port drayage for container handling, while distribution fleets often take newly qualified drivers. FastDriver.eu can present candidate information, but verifying original documents remains the employer's responsibility.
Publish driver vacancies in Romanian or English with the licence category, route type and rotation set out clearly.
Raise the visibility of international and specialist roles in a market where drivers have many alternatives.
Applications reach your team directly, with no agency between you and the driver.
Support in reaching drivers who match your licence and route requirements, without any promise of a specific candidate.
Guidance on the employment approval route, the quota position and the visa and residence stages that follow.
Coordination of travel, arrival and residence formalities when an international candidate is hired.
Employer options can be arranged around single vacancies, seasonal peaks or larger recruitment rounds, and are agreed separately with your company.
Romanian drivers compare offers against opportunities elsewhere in the Union, so the specifics matter.
Give the company name, the county and the base the driver reports to, and say whether the work is domestic, regional or international.
State the vehicle type and licence category, the professional attestation position, and whether ADR or a tanker endorsement applies.
Say how many drivers you need and what experience you expect, particularly for western European routes.
Describe the rotation honestly. For international roles, state the time away and the time at home, along with the pay structure, daily allowances and benefits.
Confirm the start date, and say whether you would consider candidates who require an employment approval, allowing for the quota position.
Your company sets and honours the final employment terms.
Tell us the role, the county, the licence category and how many drivers you need.
The vacancy goes live in Romanian, English or both, and is promoted to relevant candidates.
Applications arrive directly for your team to assess.
You interview, inspect the original licence and attestation documents, and confirm route experience.
Your company issues the employment contract under the Romanian Labour Code.
Where an employment approval is required, the Immigration Inspectorate, visa and single permit stages follow. Support can be agreed separately.
Work through these before publishing. The quota and the approval validity period are the two things that most often derail a Romanian hire.
The Romanian employer is responsible for the following.
The employment approval is issued to the employer, not to the candidate, and it is your company that must meet the conditions attached to it. Because the approval lapses if the visa is not applied for within its validity, treat the interview and offer timetable as part of the immigration timetable rather than separate from it.
FastDriver.eu does not issue any government approval.
FastDriver.eu cannot guarantee applications, candidate availability, candidate suitability, interview attendance, hiring outcomes, licence recognition, employment approvals, quota availability, visas, residence permits, processing times or continued employment.

International drivers can find and apply for Romanian vacancies. Employment depends on an employment approval, a long-stay visa, and a residence permit, and on the driver holding a licence and qualifications valid for use in Romania.
Your company does, to the General Inspectorate for Immigration. The candidate cannot start the process, and the approval is issued to the employer.
A government decision sets the number of newly admitted foreign workers for the year. Once it is exhausted, approvals cannot be issued, so check the current position before committing to a start date.
For a limited period, within which the candidate must apply for the long stay visa. If that window passes, the approval lapses and the process starts again.
For stays beyond ninety days, the right of temporary residence is extended, and a single permit is issued. Simplified conditions apply where a worker later changes employer or position while holding a valid permit.
Yes. Professional drivers in the C and D categories require professional attestation, which corresponds to code 95, with periodic training every 5 years.
Your company does. The platform may collect candidate information and assist with document coordination, but inspecting the originals is the eemployer’sresponsibility.
There is no fixed timeline. It depends on the quota position, the Immigration Inspectorate’s handling, the consular visa stage and your own process.
Options depend on the number of vacancies, the promotion level and the support you need. Terms are agreed with your company in advance.
Submit the employer enquiry with your company details and driver requirements, or post the vacancy directly. Your team then reviews the applications and selects the driver.
