For Estonian Employers
Publish your driver vacancies on FastDriver.eu, reach candidates across the Estonian counties, elsewhere in Europe and in eligible international markets, and manage applications yourself. Where a candidate needs short-term employment registration or a residence permit, we can assist with documentation and relocation coordination under a separate agreement.
Direct employer hiring • Baltic and European reach • Work registration and relocation guidance when required
FastDriver.eu connects Estonian transport companies, forwarders, port logistics operators, bus companies and courier businesses with drivers looking for work.
Publish a genuine vacancy, state the licence category, describe the routes and the shift pattern, and receive applications directly. In a labour market this small, reaching beyond the county your depot sits in usually matters more than it would elsewhere. Browse current Estonian listings at www.fastdriver.eu/jobs/estonia.
FastDriver.eu is a specialised driver job portal. It is not a recruitment agency or a temporary employment agency, it does not employ drivers and it does not lease workers.
Your company reviews the applications, interviews the candidates, inspects the original licence and professional competence documents, and signs the employment contract under the Employment Contracts Act. The hiring decision stays with you.
Estonian employers recruit across international haulage, port and domestic distribution and passenger transport. State the licence category and the route type, and say whether the work crosses the southern border.
Post vacancies for veoautojuht, veokijuht and C or CE kategooria juht roles in national distribution, port drayage, timber haulage and construction supply.
Advertise rahvusvaheline autojuht positions running south through Latvia and Lithuania into Poland and western Europe, and on the Baltic ferry routes to Finland and Sweden.
Publish roles for bussijuht on Tallinn and Tartu city networks, county lines, school transport and long distance coach services.
Advertise kaubikujuht, kullerjuht and pakiautojuht positions in parcel networks, grocery delivery and the e-commerce operations concentrated around Tallinn.
Reach ADR qualified drivers, tanker drivers, container and heavy transport drivers for oil terminal work, chemical transport and project cargo.
Use a job title only where it genuinely describes the role. Extra titles added for traffic waste everyone's time.
Estonia is divided into fifteen counties, known as maakonnad. Transport employment concentrates heavily around the capital, with secondary clusters at the ports and on the routes south and east.
Muuga is the largest cargo harbour in the country, and Paldiski and Sillamae handle ro-ro, bulk and terminal traffic that feeds directly into road haulage.
The corridor running south through Parnu towards Riga carries most of the country's international road freight and shapes a large share of long distance driver work.
Forestry and wood processing generate steady timber haulage across the inland counties, work that carries its own vehicle and loading requirements.
The Tallinn to Helsinki route and the island connections mean a share of driver roles involve ferry legs and timetabled departures rather than open road running.
Naming the county helps candidates judge the commute in a country where distances between depots can be long and public transport thin.
Estonian drivers search in Estonian, and a significant part of the workforce in the north east searches in Russian as well.
The core freight terms are veoautojuht and veokijuht, usually with the licence category attached as C-kategooria juht or CE-kategooria juht.
International work appears as rahvusvaheline autojuht, and candidates use it to filter for roles that involve nights away rather than daily returns.
Passenger roles use bussijuht, while delivery and courier work is searched as kaubikujuht, kullerjuht and pakiautojuht.
Candidates also mention ametipadevus, the professional competence qualification, and ADR in their profiles when they hold those certificates.
Publishing in Estonian reaches the domestic market. Adding a Russian or English version is worth considering for depots in Ida-Viru County or where you are open to candidates from the wider region.
FastDriver.eu operates as a European driver job portal and allows candidates in other parts of the world to discover and apply for suitable Estonian vacancies.
Estonian employers may receive applications from drivers based in Estonia, other EU and EEA countries, Switzerland, the wider European region, Asia, Africa, Gulf countries, North America, Latin America, the Caribbean and other eligible international markets.
Citizens of EU and EEA states and Switzerland do not need a residence permit for employment. Those staying beyond three months register their residence and obtain an Estonian identity document.
For third country nationals there are two routes. Short-term employment is registered by the employer with the Police and Border Guard Board before work begins. Longer engagements run through a temporary residence permit for employment.
Two points shape planning. Before the residence permit route the employer must in most cases obtain permission from the Unemployment Insurance Fund, and an annual immigration quota limits certain permits, so volume intakes need lead time. Drivers can check their own position through our driving licence eligibility guidance.
FastDriver.eu can provide process guidance and document coordination when a candidate needs support. It does not make government decisions and cannot promise an approval.
Name the licence category in the advert. Estonian candidates filter on it first.
Freight roles use C and CE, with C1 and C1E for lighter rigid vehicles. Passenger transport uses D and D1, with DE and D1E where a trailer is drawn. Van and courier work sits in category B.
Professional drivers in the C and D categories need the professional competence qualification, shown as code 95 on the licence or on a driver qualification card, and maintained through periodic training every five years.
A digital tachograph driver card is required for in scope work, and ADR training is required for dangerous goods. Winter driving competence matters in practice on the inland and island routes, even though it is not a separate certificate.
Where a third country national drives for an Estonian operator on international journeys within the Union, a driver attestation may also be needed.
Experience requirements are set by operators. Timber and tanker work usually calls for specific handling experience, while distribution fleets often accept newly qualified drivers. FastDriver.eu can present candidate information, but verifying original documents remains the employer's responsibility.
Publish driver vacancies in Estonian, Russian or English with the licence category and route type set out clearly.
Extend the reach of vacancies beyond a small domestic candidate pool.
Applications reach your team directly, with no agency between you and the driver.
Support in reaching drivers who match your licence and route requirements, without any promise of a specific candidate.
Guidance on short-term employment registration and the residence permit route, including the Unemployment Insurance Fund stage.
Coordination of travel, arrival and identity code registration steps when an international candidate is hired.
Employer options can be arranged around single vacancies, seasonal peaks or larger recruitment rounds, and are agreed separately with your company.
Specific adverts work better in a small market, where candidates often know the operators already.
Give the company name, the county and the depot the driver reports to, and say whether the work is domestic, Baltic or wider international.
State the vehicle type and licence category, the professional competence position, and whether ADR or timber loading equipment applies.
Say how many drivers you need, what experience you expect and which languages the job is worked in.
Describe the schedule honestly, including nights away and ferry legs, along with remuneration and benefits.
Confirm the start date, and say whether you would consider candidates who need short-term employment registration or a residence permit.
Your company sets and honours the final employment terms.
Tell us the role, the county, the licence category and how many drivers you need.
The vacancy goes live in Estonian, Russian or English and is promoted to relevant candidates.
Applications arrive directly for your team to assess.
You interview, inspect the original licence and competence documents, and confirm route experience.
Your company issues the employment contract under Estonian law.
Where short-term registration or a residence permit is required, the Unemployment Insurance Fund and Police and Border Guard Board stages follow. Support can be agreed separately.
Work through these before publishing. Clear adverts matter more where the candidate pool is small.
The Estonian employer is responsible for the following.
Estonian employers must register employment in the employment register before the driver starts, and short-term employment must be registered with the Police and Border Guard Board before work begins rather than afterwards. The Board also assesses the reliability of the employer during that process.
FastDriver.eu does not issue any government approval.
FastDriver.eu cannot guarantee applications, candidate availability, candidate suitability, interview attendance, hiring outcomes, licence recognition, work permits, residence permits, visas, processing times or continued employment.
Misleading vacancy content may be removed from the platform.

A route for temporary work in which the employer applies to the Police and Border Guard Board to register the employment before it begins. It is separate from the residence permit route used for longer engagements.
In most cases the employer must obtain that permission before the candidate can apply for a residence permit for employment. Check the current conditions with the Fund before you commit to a start date.
An annual quota limits certain temporary residence permits. It does not apply to every category, but it is a reason to start volume recruitment early rather than close to your intended start date.
